PIttenweem Harbour

I've just finished another mixed media (oil pastels and acrylics) painting of Pittenweem Harbour. Fun to paint and popular in the East Neuk of Fife!

About me

I am fortunate to have retired to Fife in Scotland, a beautiful area of the country, where I can be near my children and grand children.

I worked mainly in education and retired in 2010. I originally studied History, Economics and Politics at university and, later, Psychology and even later, Art History.

Since I have retired I have been able to spend more time painting and drawing. I have attended lessons by local artist, Susan Forsyth, a summer school at Art4youScotland and, recently, a summer school with Paul Mowat organised by the Edinburgh Drawing School.

I am a member of the Crail Art Group, the East Neuk Art Club and the Saint Andrews Art Club and have shown paintings in their exhibitions and actually sold a few! This blog displays a selection of my paintings and drawings and some snippets of Art History.
